Uranus Pin

from $5.00

As the seventh planet from the Sun , Uranus was seen as a star by ancient people. Thus, it is the first planet discovered by modern astronomy. In light of this, we tried to give our pin a modern and minimalistic look. Uranus is the only planet in the solar system with an axis parallel to its plane of orbit, making its rings appear vertical rather than horizontal. Uranus has significantly fewer rings than Saturn. Our pin features a fine line right down the middle, which elevates its overall subtle blue shade. Modern astronomers got Uranus’ title from the Greek sky deity, to stay in keeping with the pattern of naming the planets for Greco-Roman deities.

Featuring gold plating and hard enamel, this Uranus pin has a light, elegant feel to it. The pin measures 1.125 inches from top to bottom and comes with the Walking on Light stamp on the back. ***PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE PINS COME WITH METAL BUTTERFLY CLUTCHES***
