Pluto Pin
Pluto is currently recognized by science as a dwarf planet, because there are other objects larger in size which have been discovered in the solar system. Science argues that these objects would have to be planets as well, if Pluto kept its status. We chose to include Pluto in our rendition of the solar system because historically, Pluto has been a planet, and many of us are fond of it. We would encourage science to change Pluto's title to "honorary planet" because of the place it has held in our hearts for years. Also, Pluto is a planet named for the god of the wealth, and the underworld. It somehow seems unwise to demote a planet named after such an important god.
Featuring gold plating and hard enamel, this Pluto pin it tiny, and so cute!!! The pin measures .25 inches across, and has one post on the back. The rubber clutch is in fact larger than the pin itself! That said, it works exactly like any other enamel pin.
