Blue Star Hawk Pin
Blue Star Hawk pins are my ultimate expression of everything I love and hold dear. They feature cosmic elements like planets and stars, spattered across a glorious red tailed hawk in flight. The hawk is wearing a "stephanos" or "wreath" crown, for victory. Such crowns were given out as prizes in the ancient Greek Olympics. The hawk is also carrying a bow with a flaming arrow.
I started working on this pin after my pet bird died. He was blue, which is where the inspiration for this hawk's unique color comes from.
Featuring gold plating, hard enamel, and glitter enamel, this Star Hawk Pin has a hefty, satisfying feel to it. The pin measures About 2’’ (5.08 cm) at it's widest, and comes with three posts on the back, as well as black rubber clutches. A Walking on Light sticker is affixed to the back validate the pin's authenticity.
